Work

Choosing Your Own Life?

Before becoming a mom, I worked mainly to help people.

Now that I'm back at work after my maternity leave, my ambitions are even greater. Not only do I want to continue helping people, but I also want to feel that my work is truly making a difference and that I have greater decision-making authority over the cases entrusted to me.

I want to feel happier when I arrive at work—motivated and inspired.

I don't want to work just for the sake of working anymore; I want to work to fulfill myself.

I need new challenges and a change of work environment.

I'd also like to move closer to the Laurentians, where I grew up.

I want to see my friends more often, go out with them friends, mom and save up to buy a small house.

I want the chance to fulfill my potential as a professional, to become the career-driven woman I used to be, but I need a fresh start.

I love the field I work in. However, I’ve realized that I also love law, justice, education, and prevention. I discovered these professional fields while studying during my maternity leave (yes, even when my daughter wasn’t sleeping through the night yet!). I now have the tools I need to apply for a new position and, hopefully, achieve the Holy Grail.

As they say: Happy wife, happy life.

I'm almost there, but I'm missing a few pieces of the puzzle to get there. I’m very intuitive by nature. But right now, my intuition radar is out of order… So I have to rely solely on the trials and rainbows that life sends my way.

I have to trust the people around me and the signs life sends me; it’s a big step toward letting go, but it has to be beneficial in the end.

I tell myself that I'm a good person; I humbly think I'm awesome, so good things must happen to me because I deserve them!
